About the Team

The Engineering Enablement organization builds the tools, platforms, and experiences that empower PlayStation engineers to deliver world-class software with speed, reliability, and joy. Our Platform Integration team sits at the intersection of application development and infrastructure, creating the abstractions, APIs, and automation that make cloud and on-prem systems simple and intuitive for our developers.

We are looking for an engineer passionate about developer experience, platform engineering, and building polished internal products. You will work across the Kubernetes platform, CI/CD systems, service mesh, and emerging AI capabilities to create seamless, scalable, and delightful development workflows for thousands of engineers across Sony Interactive Entertainment.

What You'll Do

  • Build a developer-centric ecosystem by designing internal developer experience tools, workflows, and user-focused abstractions that simplify how teams interact with infrastructure.

  • Integrate developer experiences with cloud and on-prem hosting platforms, ensuring consistent workflows and intuitive APIs regardless of environment.

  • Own the intake and refinement of developer feature requests, translating requirements into platform capabilities and incorporating them into the experience ecosystem.

  • Support and evolve developer-facing tools and software delivery services running on Kubernetes and cloud provider managed services.

  • Design and implement Kubernetes Operators, CRDs, and platform APIs to expose infrastructure features through clean, declarative interfaces.

  • Create automation and release orchestration solutions using tools such as Jenkins, Argo CD, GitHub Actions, and other CI/CD technologies.

  • Develop integration solutions for service mesh and API gateways, enabling smooth connectivity, traffic routing, and observability for applications.

  • Leverage AI tools and capabilities to accelerate solution development and craft delightful, intelligent developer workflows.

  • Collaborate with partner teams across infrastructure, security, and application engineering to ensure that platform abstractions align with organizational needs.

  • Champion developer experience excellence, gathering feedback, iterating quickly, and advocating for usability, clarity, and performance in all platform tooling.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience building or supporting developer experience platforms, internal tools, or platform engineering solutions.

  • Proficiency with Kubernetes (Operators, CRDs, controllers, RBAC, networking) and related cloud-native technologies.

  • Hands-on CI/CD pipeline development experience with tools like Jenkins, Argo CD, GitHub Actions, or similar systems.

  • Experience integrating applications with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) and API gateways.

  • Solid programming skills in languages such as Go, Python, or Rust.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and hybrid hosting environments.

  • A user-centric mindset and ability to translate developer needs into well-designed solutions.

  • Experience using AI tools to enhance engineering workflows is a strong plus.

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience designing scalable internal platforms used by hundreds or thousands of developers.

  • Background in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure automation.

  • Contributions to open-source projects in the Kubernetes or cloud-native ecosystem.

  • Familiarity with GitOps patterns and operational excellence practices.
