Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced onsite Engineering Sr Technician to join our Camden, AR team. This individual will be required to perform engineering work in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments | Responsibilities are within the Engineering Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines

Experience in Solid Rocket Motors is preferred.

Requires working knowledge and skills to perform a defined set of analytical scientific or operational processes

Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise
Works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
Works with a moderate degree of supervision
Performs manual tasks according to established procedures

Essential Functions

Assists engineers and scientists as they create, modify, and test products and processes.
Supports with technical tasks and project support.
Sets up equipment and monitors tests and experiments.
Inspects products and processes for flaws and identifies areas of improvement.
Observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports.
Performs extensive research and development during creation phase of product.
Utilizes computer-aided design and drafting equipment during design phase.

Required Qualifications

Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree
Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred
Knowledge, skills & abilities: Technical expertise. Ability to understand and follow directions. Design expertise. Mathematical skills. Engineering Support. Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) Software.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
May need to stand for long periods of time.
Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
May be requested to work a different shift.
Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
This position is Safety-Sensitive.
