Embedded Electronics Design Engineer - 25-03 - San Diego, CA As a growing Department of Defense Contractor, AUSGAR Technologies has an exciting NEW opportunity for an Embedded Electronics Design Engineer to join our team of smart and innovative technical team members at NIWC PAC - Bayside in the Point Loma area of San Diego, CA. Join a fast-paced team working to design and prototype embedded hardware for rugged ocean systems. Collaborate with a team of engineers to design and prototype embedded hardware, firmware and software. Directly involved in design, development and testing of system components, including: circuit boards, analog and digital sensors, batteries and power supplies. Hardware design and layout experience are greatly desired. Contribute to the team at all stages of design and prototyping, from initial concept development to rapid design and testing efforts, as well as supporting manufacture of engineering prototype systems and planning and executing real-world demonstrations for customers. o Altium Designer o OrCAD o PADS, etc.
o Analog and digital circuit board circuit design, layout, manufacturing and testing. o Microcontroller firmware design and test (C preferred). o FPGA firmware design and test (VHDL preferred). o Embedded digital signal processing (DSP). o Linux kernel device driver development. o Fiber-optics hardware design and test.
o DC power supplies o Digital multimeters o Oscilloscopes o Logic analyzers o Vendor specific programmers or debuggers
Working Conditions:
Salary Range: $150K-165K Based on your qualifications, you will be placed in Level I-V. An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check. We use E-Verify to electronically confirm the employment eligibility of newly hired employees. AUSGAR's salary range is dependent upon a variety of factors, which include experience, skills, education, certifications and geographical location.
