  • Proficient in application development skills for more than one technology as well as multiple design techniques.
  • Working proficiency in development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworks.
  • Strong understanding techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and security.
  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages.
  • Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of software.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Design cross cloud and on prem solutions for security, compliance, and analytics.
  • Build automation for control monitoring, evidence collection, and remediation across environments.
  • Develop production code in Python and Go; contribute to Java components when needed.
  • Implement policy as code guardrails in building and release pipelines.
  • Orchestrate workflows with Kubernetes and workflow services such as Step Functions.
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and related tooling.
  • Instrument services for metrics, logs, and traces; deliver audit ready reporting.
  • Troubleshoot incidents, perform code reviews, and reduce operational toil.
  • Collaborate with platform, risk, and product partners to embed controls by design.
  • Evaluate and integrate tools and vendors that enhance reliability and compliance.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Experience with Google Cloud and multi cloud design patterns.
  • Experience applying AI tooling to development, analytics, or compliance workflows.
  • Knowledge of policy as code and infrastructure as code (e.g., Open Policy Agent, Terraform).
  • Experience with event driven and workflow-oriented architectures.
  • Familiarity with data modeling and SQL for analytics.
  • Knowledge of technology risk and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience integrating third party security and compliance solutions.
Additional Skills:
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • 5 years of software engineering experience.
  • Hands-on system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Proficiency in Python or Go for backend and automation use cases.
  • Experience with CI/CD and secure development practices.
  • Practical experience on Azure and AWS, plus ability to build on prem platforms.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
  • Experience with build pipelines and tooling such as Jenkins.
  • Ability to create analytics from telemetry (metrics, logs, traces) and build dashboards.
  • Understanding of audit, compliance, and security controls in regulated environments.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration (e.g., Step Functions) or equivalents.
  • Effective collaboration and communication in agile teams.
