Job Description




As a Security Officer - Office Building Patrol in Camp Hill, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication, while using access control systems, alarm panels, and computer or tablet tools to document activity and report concerns. At Allied Universal, you will act with integrity and deliver through teamwork.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical-area disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, checking for unusual conditions and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization when required, and directing individuals to the proper destinations in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Complete patrol logs and incident reports, communicate key information during shift transitions, and support Allied Universal account leadership with administrative and/or operational tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
