Job Description

SUMMARY
Controls the warehouse operation, maintains quality standards and ensures continuous improvement of the total warehouse operations to include: docks, injection, AGV and end of line operations to meet internal and external customer's delivery requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Ensures operations are completed in accordance with Amcor Rigid Plastic's safety procedures and ensures team members are working in a safe manner and identifies and corrects unsafe work practices
2. Responsible for managing, shipping, receiving and storage of both raw materials and finished goods for an assigned shift.
3. Responsible for utilizing space, people, equipment and time allotted to area of
responsibility in the most efficient manner possible to accomplish the warehouse
functions.
4. Trains warehouse employees assigned to shift.
5. Ensures the delivery of floor supplies to production area thus having no down time for production.
6. Verify bin counts and ensures Crystal Reports are on bins.
7. Reviews PRODRECT to insure all ticketed production is put away.
8. Reviews SAP throughout the shift to ensure all loads will be delivered on time.
9. Effectively communicates and conducts a shift pass down with oncoming shift lead
10. Keeps customers informed of issues pertaining to their deliveries of goods.
11. Communicates with Production Floor Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor and
Materials Manager all issues that requires their attention.
12. Operates and maintains forklift in a safe and efficient manner using work instructions,
visual management and computer interface.
13. Prints and scans Bill of Lading for all finished goods using computer interface and RF scanner.
14. Inspects finished goods for quality defects.
15. Transfers finished goods to staging or storage areas.
16. Loads finished goods onto trucks in a timely manner to meet customer's delivery requirements.
17. Unloads incoming materials from trucks and stores in proper locations.
18. Accurately completes all written logs and data input to include closing sequences on tickets and printing Bill of Lading.
19. Removes/Reworks any damaged product on pallets.
20. Maintains a clean work area and performs general housekeeping duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
High School diploma or general education (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
A valid forklift certification, which meets OSHA requirements, is required to perform the essential duties of this job.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand or walk for 12 hours, regularly required to sit for 12 hours, and is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to communicate with other employees and be aware of sounds in the plant. The employee must also frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Job is performed near moving mechanical parts and occasionally in outdoor weather. Safety glasses are required to be worn. The noise level is loud, requiring hearing protection to be worn. GMP procedures are observed in all areas of the plant.

AUTHORIZATION

1. Ability to shut down any machine if it poses an imminent danger to employee's health and/or safety.
2. Ability to shut down any machine because of a quality problem so suspect material can be contained.
3. Ability to shut down any if it is down three times in one hour for the same mechanical problem.
4. Ability to reject trucks that do not meet requirements
5. Authority to contact any staff or management team member with concerns, questions or suggestions pertaining to their job or work environment.
