HED | IDEAS - Structural Engineering Intern

HED | IDEAS (Intern Development for Engineering and Architecture Students) is an approximate 10-week program that provides aspiring A/E professionals with real-world work experience that introduces them to the many diverse components of an A/E firm. The experience is intended to complement and support their academic learning experience.

Interns contribute to one or more of HED's nine market sectors. Project work exposure can vary, from planning and concept development, through design and production and construction administration. Interns also attend a series of workshops that provide introductions to the intricacies of integrated practice, project management, programming, business development and marketing, all crucial to the successful operations of an A/E firm.

Interns at HED harness their critical thinking skills, enthusiasm, innovation, passion, energy, and curiosity to make a positive impact through design excellence and contributing to making the world a better place. They thrive in a collaborative and hybrid work environment that embraces authenticity, discipline, growth, change and making a mark on the world.
