Role Summary:

The Functional Lead - Dynamics 365 F&SCM is responsible for leading functional workstreams and ensuring successful delivery of business processes within Finance and Supply Chain domains. This role acts as the primary bridge between business users and the technical team, ensuring requirements are accurately translated into system configurations and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead functional workshops and requirements gathering sessions
• Configure and validate D365 F&SCM modules based on business needs
• Drive fit-gap analysis and functional design documentation
• Coordinate with Solution Architects and developers on extensions and integrations
• Support data migration validation, UAT, and training activities
• Act as functional escalation point during implementation and go-live

Required Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of Dynamics AX / D365 F&SCM experience
• Strong functional expertise in Finance and/or Supply Chain modules
• Experience leading functional teams on ERP projects
• Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO)
• Experience delivering projects via hybrid waterfall/agile methodologies including Scrum and Conference Room Pilots (CRPs)

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Industry-specific process experience
• Microsoft functional certifications (MB-310, MB-330/340)

Technical Expertise

• Strong hands-on expertise in Dynamics 365 F&SCM functional configuration across finance and supply chain modules
• In-depth understanding of business process flows, financial dimensions, posting profiles, and costing methods
• Experience performing fit-gap analysis, functional design documentation, and configuration mapping
• Knowledge of D365 security roles, workflow configuration, and approval hierarchies
• Ability to support data migration validation, opening balances, and transaction testing
• Familiarity with LCS, Task Recorder, and test automation tools
• Understanding of integration touchpoints and ability to collaborate with technical teams
• Experience supporting UAT, training, and post-go-live stabilization

• Functional and Technical design documents (FDDs, TDDs)
• Test scripts and UAT support as needed
• End-user training and knowledge transfer
