Job Description:

2 A ICU is a 21-bed medical/surgical ICU serving high acuity medical ICU patients. The unit population is cardiac interventions, SARS, Cardiogenic shock, Rotoprone, Post-partum critical care patients and complex care ICU patients most of which have a medical or cardiac diagnosis.

ICU Nursing Assistant

Part-Time, Nights

Job Description:

• Performs direct patient care procedures and related tasks; assists in obtaining patient histories, takes vital signs and I &O and documents, prepares chart packs, and assists with medical procedures as delegated by nursing staff.
• Prepare patients, equipment, and supplies for specific procedures and provide manual assistance as needed.
• Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom system immediately to determine patients' needs and assures needs are address in a timely manner. Accesses additional assistance as indicated to meet patient needs.
• Performs and documents appropriate procedures and data according to hospital policy and procedure.
• Performs hygienic care including bathing, shaving, oral, and hair
• Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom system immediately to determine patients' needs and assures needs are met when beyond scope.

Requirements:

• High School/GED
• SRNA or currently enrolled in an RN program with validation of clinical rotation.
• Must obtain BLS within 30 days from date of hire
