Public Health IT Project Lead

The Opportunity:

An effective project requires a manager who is passionate about guiding it through the complexities of its lifecycle. It requires someone who is dedicated to identifying challenges, mitigating risks, and supporting a team with vision and focus. That's why we need a seasoned project manager like you who can ensure our laboratory reporting web portal modernization achieves success.

As a deputy project manager on our team, you'll design, implement, and maintain impactful programs by guiding software development, partner engagement, and user adoption. As an authority in public health, you'll identify opportunities to improve project processes and services to better serve our federal public health client missions.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience managing teams in the public health or laboratory space, including maintaining responsibility for the success of a project or program
  • 10+ years of experience developing client-ready presentations, project artifacts, and communications
  • 3+ years of experience managing relationships with federal or state public health partners
  • 2+ years of experience supporting the development or enhancement of a software application
  • Knowledge of Agile software development practices
  • Ability to understand project objectives, develop a critical path to completion, and monitor schedule and risks
  • Public Trust
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Azure DevOps or Jira
  • Experience with HHS EPLC requirements

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
