The EHS Manager position located in Chillicothe, MO will provide leadership and direction in the implementation of the Donaldson EHS framework and development of effective site-specific EHS policies and programs to support achievement of site EHS targets and objectives.

Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Chillicothe, MO facility.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manages the implementation and maintenance of EHS risk assessment tools designed to

  • identify, prioritize and control exposures to health and safety hazards or environmental

  • impacts which can result in harm to people, property, or the environment.

  • Oversees the creation of annual environmental, health and safety targets and objectives for

  • the site to measurably reduce exposure to health and safety risks and environmental impacts.

  • Identifies action-based EHS goals and methodologies for the site leadership team members and supervisors to utilize in support of achieving site-specific EHS targets and objectives.

  • Leads the post incident review of high-consequence EHS incidents and ensures corrective and preventive actions addressing root causes are effectively deployed.

  • Develops and maintains site-specific compliance assurance processes to facilitate the prompt completion of EHS-related compliance, training and preventive maintenance

  • obligations.

  • Guides the deployment of employee-directed environmental, health and safety teams and

  • facilitates their engagement in ownership of the activities enabling a compliant, incident free

  • workplace while reducing the site's environmental footprint.

  • Manages the development and maintenance of training processes to ensure required

  • environmental, health and safety training is defined, addresses required content, is delivered, and is

  • tracked to completion with effective documentation.

  • Oversees the application of Donaldson's change management process to systematically assess potential health and safety hazards, as well as environmental impacts, related to changes in business activities.

  • Site resource/expert on Missouri DNR and OSHA regulations and standards.

  • May provide functional advice or training to other company locations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Fire Protection, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of progressively increasing environmental, health and safety leadership

  • responsibility in a manufacturing environment with an emphasis on program implementation and training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree

  • Supervisory or Managerial experience

  • Professional certification (CSP, CIH, CFPS, CHMM or country equivalent)

  • Experience managing ISO14001 certification requirements

  • Knowledge and insight of Power Presses and associated safety/environmental topics

  • Understanding of machine guarding requirements
