The Regional Sales Manager, Northern California + Pacific Northwest is responsible for supervising our field-based sales team while developing strong relationships with influential people in the region. The region includes Northern California and the Pacific Northwest (Northern Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Regional Sales Manager, NorCal + PNW will have the opportunity to make a significant impact within his/her assigned area of responsibility by achieving the following:

  • Responsible to create and execute of the Region Strategic Sales Plan in support of the Area & US Strategic Sales plans.
  • In conjunction with the AVP, the RSM will establish and set specific goals & objectives for each of their direct reports. Expectations of the RSM will be to ensure that the regional sales plans are implemented & that the assigned sales quotas & business objectives set executed.
  • Success for the RSM role will be demonstrated through the development/execution of the overall Region's sales strategy, meeting and/or exceeding the assigned annual sales goals/quotas. The RSM will have oversight of the Territory Managers sales activities, implementing the strategies & tactical sales methodologies / initiatives, etc.
  • RSM will implement performance metrics, sales objectives and KPI's, for their direct reports, that will measure the sales teams individual performance. RSM will utilize performance reviews as a tool to coach and ensure all members are successfully achieving established KPI's (goals & individual attributes).
  • RSM must possess the ability to recruit, hire and retain top talent via developing industry relationships, coaching, mentoring, developing talent and implement training programs to support sales teams. RSM must possess the ability to identify areas /individuals needing improvement, coach to a successful outcome or facilitate a change when required.
  • Successful management and oversight of Territory Manager funnel(s) & activity via on time, complete and accurate monthly, quarterly, annual forecasting & CEC reporting.
  • Effective development and management of area expenditures. Ability to identify & request, from the AVP, funding and prioritize spending through market engagement and informed decision making.
  • Understanding & engagement of key account activity & impact upon region / dealer. Ability to assist in negotiations, pricing, RFP's, contract terms/conditions and serve as liaison to headquarters.
  • Manage and build top-to-top relationships with key dealer principals and key dealer sales representatives for both aligned/non-aligned distribution. Identify and promptly address areas of potential growth and/or weakness within the Global dealer channel.
  • Implementation of internal & sales programs (BIP, GPP, GGG, SDF, etc.)
  • Identify key dealer candidates for Special Incentive or Enhanced BIP that have the ability, desire and commit to significant growth. With the AVP, implement and execute a plan for success.
  • Identify, validate and support business initiatives via collaboration with peers and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate the ability to build connections across geographies/corporate headquarters to align actions with business directives/company initiatives for U.S. territories. Work cross-functionally to ensure engagement with and sharing best practices with RSM peer group(s).
  • Perform additional responsibilities, as requested, to achieve overall business objectives of the organization.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience or military equivalent.
  • 5+ years of successful sales leadership experience in the furniture industry.
  • Managing a team of 7+ in multiple locations.
  • Travel - willing to travel 50%+ of the time, on an as needed basis.
  • Candidate must reside in the San Francisco Bay or Seattle area.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with internal and external clients.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Motivated and results driven.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Actual base pay offered will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Global, an individual may not be hired at the high end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

BONUS/COMMISSIONS

This position is also eligible for performance-based commissions based on sales volume in assigned region.
