Senior Software Engineer (MERN Stack)

Acara Solutions is a staffing services firms that has been supporting advanced manufacturing firms nationally since the 1950's. We have a 6 month contract Software Engineer opening in Newark, CA with our automotive EV client. This is a hybrid position.

Hourly Pay Rate: $85.71

Duties:

• This role provides the opportunity to have ownership of this project and architecture.
• Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines and the quality of work.
• The main function of a Software Engineer is to design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs, including mainframe and client/server applications, and major enhancements of existing systems.
• Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects.
• Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and data.
• Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications.
• Implement system software and customize it to the client's requirements.
• Prepare the detailed software specifications and test plans.
• Code new programs to the client's specifications and create test data for testing.
• Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs.
• Provide quality assurance reviews.
• Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with min of 5 years of experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software design, large systems software design, and development.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolution.
• Minimum 12 years of experience as a Lead Developer, with extensive expertise in the JavaScript-based MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in React + Typescript + Mongo stack.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in building React web component libraries.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with a proven track record of leading development teams and managing large-scale projects.
