Client: Thriving Hospitality Company
Role: Senior Accountant
Salary: $110K - $120K

Location: Bronx, NY

Key Responsibilities:
General Accounting & Month-End Close
  • Execute the month-end close process, including the preparation of internal financial statements, prepaids, and fixed asset schedules.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, inventory, and department/event-specific allocations.
  • Maintain comprehensive general ledger records and supporting documentation in accordance with GAAP.
  • Perform weekly bank reconciliations and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Generate and publish monthly commission statements accurately and timely.
Accounts Receivable & Revenue Coordination
  • Support AR functions by monitoring outstanding balances and assisting with collections follow-up.
  • Partner closely with the Sales and Events teams to ensure accurate billing and proper revenue recognition for various functions.
Cross-Functional Support & Compliance
  • Provide backup coverage for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) as needed.
  • Participate in inventory management and reconciliation processes alongside warehouse and kitchen operations.
  • Support the Controller with internal/external audits, financial initiatives, and special projects.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements to drive efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.CPA or CPA-trackcandidate is highly preferred.
  • Experience:4+ years of professional accounting experience. Experience withinhospitality, catering, retail or food serviceis a significant plus.
  • Technical Skills:* Advanced proficiency inExcel(Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
    • Familiarity with accounting platforms such asAcumatica, QuickBooks, Ottimate, or Concur.
  • Core Competencies:
    • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and complex allocations.
    • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
    • Strong interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
    • A "process-improvement" mindset with the ability to work independently.
