Summary Job Description: PRN Registered Nurse PreOp Pre-Op and Phase II Recovery are made up of 14 rooms which are housed togetheras one unit. This setting allows the patient to have the same nurse, when possible,before and after his or her procedure and assists in increasing the continuity ofcare. Previous critical care or recovery experience is required Preop/PACU RN cares for preoperative, PACU Phase I, and Phase II/discharge patients. Requires 1+ year PACU Phase I or critical care experience and strong perioperative skills. Must be organized, flexible, and able to multitask in a fast-paced setting while working both preop and postop areas. Duties include patient assessment, care planning, documentation, safety, teamwork, education, quality improvement, and policy compliance.
