Project Manager - Retail and Consumer Experience

Your Role

At Gensler, we design for people. As a Retail and Consumer Experience Project Manager, you will help bring world-class retail environments to life for global clients by leading projects that integrate design excellence, technical expertise, and strategic thinking.

You will collaborate with a diverse, multidisciplinary team across regions and time zones, guiding projects from concept through completion. In this role, you will serve as a trusted client partner, a team leader, and a steward of Gensler's commitment to quality, innovation, and impact.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the delivery of mid-size to large retail projects across all phases of design and construction
  • Partner closely with clients to understand goals, manage expectations, and deliver successful outcomes
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants across multiple geographic regions
  • Support business development efforts, including proposals, presentations, and new client pursuits
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and staffing plans
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate contracts and consultant agreements
  • Oversee project financial performance, ensuring alignment between project accounting and invoicing
  • Lead, mentor, and support project teams, fostering collaboration and professional growth
  • Coordinate and review project documentation in preparation for key milestones and deliverables

Your Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of project management experience in an Architecture or Interior Design practice
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture or Interior Design
  • Architectural license and/or NCIDQ certification (completed or in progress)
  • Experience working across all phases of architectural and interior design projects
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
  • Solid understanding of the design and construction process
  • Working knowledge of building codes and local jurisdictional requirements
  • Knowledge of sustainable design practices; LEED project experience a plus
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit; Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus

**The base salary range will be estimated between $110,000 - $134,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
