Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide exceptional care to expectant mothers, their newborns, and families throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. This role requires a strong clinical skill set, effective communication, and the ability to respond calmly in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Assess, monitor, and manage the physical and emotional well-being of patients during labor, delivery, and recovery.

  • Fetal Monitoring: Perform and interpret fetal heart rate monitoring and other diagnostic tests to ensure maternal and fetal health.

  • Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals during deliveries, including assisting with cesarean sections or emergency procedures.

  • Provide care and education to new mothers on breastfeeding, infant care, and postpartum recovery.

  • Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and epidurals while monitoring for any adverse reactions.

  • Respond quickly to obstetric emergencies, including hemorrhage, fetal distress, or neonatal complications.
