The Facilities Project Manager contributes leadership, experience and knowledge to a working team of professionals resulting in the creation of innovative facility designs and shows an ability to be a team player for the globally recognized leader in the field. This leadership role manages design and construction phases of projects from conception to completion. Keen focus on organization and follow through are required to be successful in this role. The Facilities Project Manager will work with our national Facilities Business Class. Some travel to client sites or other HDR offices is required. Tasks / Duties
- Manage planning and design team staff ensuring successful project delivery
- Control project budget, scope and schedule
- Coordinate staff scheduling with individuals and other Project Managers
- Ensure product deliverables meet quality standards
- Invoicing and contract management
- Facility programming, report writing, site master planning, conceptual facility design
- Promote HDR through regular client interface
- Assist with proposal creation and delivery
- Assist with tracking and positioning for new project leads
- Represent HDR at interview presentations
Promote Business Class services to HDR network Provide guidance, mentorship, and supervision to less experienced staff
- Other technical / managerial tasks as assigned
*LI-MR1 Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering
- 5 plus years' experience managing planning and design teams
- Command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project)
- Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp
- PE or RA licensure or ability to obtain a plus
- 10+ yrs professional experience a plus
- Advanced leadership and mentoring ability
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong public speaking / presentation skills
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 7 years related experience
- A minimum of 2 years project management experience
- Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
