Responsible for performing and assisting with cardiac diagnostic testing procedures.

Responsibilities
- 1. Prepares patient and equipment for all stress testing procedures.
- 1.1 1 Checks Tech worklist for patient arrival and insures correct physician order and ordering codes are in Epic. Informs front desk staff, nurse or supervisor before patient is brought back for test/procedure if order or codes are not correct.
- 2. Apply 24 hour Holter monitors and event monitors on patients. Download returned holter monitors into system.
- 2.1 Checks Tech worklist for patient arrival and insures correct physician order and ordering codes are in Epic. Informs front desk staff, nurse or supervisor before patient is brought back for test/procedure if order or codes are not correct
- 3. Performs PVRs.
- 3.1 Verifies physician order on Tech worklist in Epic. Completes Epic tech worklist process. Informs front desk staff, nurse or supervisor before patient is brought back for test/procedure if order is not correct.
- 4. Performs administrative and other duties as assigned.
- 4.1 Completes pre-testing Covid checks to ensure patients have Covid test order, are scheduled for the Covid test and have completed test before exercise stress testing procedures. Documents in note on tech work list.
Qualifications
EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent. Medical Assistant Certification EXPERIENCE Minimum two years experience in a hospital or medical office setting; preferably Cardiology. LICENSURE Certified medical assistant, certified nurse assistant or patient care technician. PHYSICAL DEMAND Requires extended periods of sitting, walking and standing. Moderate unassisted lifting to 30 lbs.
