What this job involves - As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be a key developer responsible for building and maintaining the digital tools that support our clients critical facilities and labs. You will work closely with the Data Architect and Senior leadership to develop, test, and deploy interactive applications and automation workflows hosted on a leading global service provider.

Your primary focus will be on writing clean, efficient code for both front-end interfaces and back-end services. You will help turn operational requirements into functional dashboards and tools that allow facility teams to visualize data and respond to critical events.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Maintenance

  • Develop, test, and maintain web applications using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js on the front end; Python or Node.js on the back end).

  • Build and consume APIs (REST) to connect user interfaces with our GCP data warehouse (BigQuery) and other back-end services.

  • Write and deploy code to GCP serverless platforms (e.g., Cloud Run, Cloud Functions), ensuring applications are reliable and performant.

  • Troubleshoot and debug application issues, optimizing code for speed and scalability.

Automation & Scripting

  • Write automation scripts (using Python or Google Apps Script) to streamline manual tasks for the operations team.

  • Support the integration of third-party tools (e.g., CMMS, BMS systems) by building connectors and data handlers.

  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth code deployments and testing processes.

Visualization & UI Implementation

  • Implement data visualizations (using libraries like Chart.js or D3.js) based on designs and requirements provided by the innovation team.

  • Create user-friendly dashboards that display critical metrics clearly for non-technical users.

  • Collaborate with the team to gather feedback on tool usability and implement necessary improvements.

  • 2-4 years of software development experience, with a portfolio of web applications or projects.

  • Proficiency in Front-End development: JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and experience with a framework like React or Angular.

  • Proficiency in Back-End development: Python (preferred) or Node.js.

  • Experience with cloud platforms. Familiarity with Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, or Firebase is a plus.

  • Experience working with APIs and databases (SQL/NoSQL).

  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and basic DevOps practices.

  • Eagerness to learn about operational technology (IoT, sensors, critical facilities) and apply your coding skills to physical world problems.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Estimated compensation for this position:

189,800.00 - 249,600.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
