The opportunity

The Assistant Director of Curriculum and Academic Alignment contributes to the efficient operation of the Office of University Registrar. You will manage completion of all team activities, including reviewing reports, dashboards, and other tools used as quality checks. The Assistant Director assesses business practices, provides accurate and efficient service, and strives for quality improvement. Additionally, you will participate in the implementation and maintenance of documentation, policies, goals, short and long-term planning, and will ensure standardization of processes across all units of the team. You will advise on all areas of the Office of the University Registrar as a resource throughout SNHU and communicate procedures to our university partners. You may oversee system analytics, emerging credentials, or curriculum and academic alignment. This is a remote position with the possibility of working on-campus periodically if you reside within a commutable distance. You will report to the Executive Director of Curriculum and Academic Alignment.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to ensure all team activities are completed, including academic governance reviews, processing academic proposals, and managing curriculum data. Use reports, dashboards, and data tools to monitor progress and quality
  • Oversee and mentor our Assistant Registrars, ensuring accurate processing of academic governance actions, balanced workloads, and adherence to quality standards
  • Foster a healthy and inclusive team culture rooted in open collaboration, accountability, and professional growth
  • Use our available technologies and data resources to establish best practices and support strategic planning for curriculum and data management
  • Maintain standardized documentation and procedures to ensure application of best practices and compliance with institutional requirements
  • Partner with the Associate Director for Curriculum Alignment and Data Management and other partners, to identify and resolve system impacts related to curriculum data housed across multiple platforms
  • Be a primary liaison for Academic Governance between the Office of the University Registrar and external departments to coordinate system functionality and ensure accurate maintenance of curriculum data across integrated systems
  • Monitor curriculum workflows to detect downstream data impacts, safeguard data integrity, and communicate updates to internal administrative and academic partners
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership position
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience using syntax languages with student information and curriculum management systems
  • Demonstrated skill in interpreting customer needs and translating them into application and operational requirements
  • Understand reporting using relational and non-relational databases
  • Experience assessing how business and technical issues impact overall project plans; effectively using data from relational and non-relational databases

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $58,455.00 - $93,546.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $64,593.00 - $87,391.00.
