Department:ICE | MUSL | TOSH Operating RoomDepartment's Website: Summary of Job Duties:The Orthopedic & Spine Hospital (TOSH), UAMS Health's brand-new surgical hospital is looking for passionate teammates who are ready to join a team that's redefining quality care. The Surgical Services Equipment Technician (SSET) works collaboratively with the staff in the operating room to assist in the safe and timely flow of patients through the operating rooms. The SSET moves beds and equipment into and out of the operating rooms as needed, and may, on occasion, be asked to assist with the transfer of patients to and from the operating table. The SSET must possess knowledge of specialized equipment used in the operating room to set up, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance. This person is accountable to the Service Managers and reports to the Director of Surgical Services. The Surgical Services Equipment Technician (SSET) works within the Department of Nursing standards.
