We believe in working together. In Labor & Delivery, you'll join a team that collaborates closely with providers and supports each other every step of the way.

Your Role

As part of our leadership team, you'll partner with Assistant Nurse Managers for Mother/Baby and NICU, reporting to the Labor & Delivery Nurse Manager. Together, you'll help shape an environment where families feel cared for and staff feel empowered.

Scope of work

Under the direction of the nurse manager or other nursing leader, the assistant nurse manager has responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the nursing department and their effect on patient care in the department.

Qualifications

  • Effective June 1, 2025, a Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is Required.
  • Two+ years of clinical (labor & delivery) experience Required.
  • Participation in leadership activities (Unit, hospital or system Shared Governance meetings, Precepting, Charge nurse role) Preferred.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
  • AAP Certified Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Required.
  • NCC Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) within six months Required.
