Summary

The primary role of the Dispatch position is safety, ensuring only airworthy aircraft and qualified crews are dispatched, that missions are monitored, leadership is notified for overdue flights, and that all missions are checked-in with accurate, complete, and timely information. The secondary role is reporting the results of operations and possessing the capability for manual operations when MyFlightTrain (MFT) or the internet is not functioning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the aircraft and crews are properly dispatched.

  • Provide the crews with the aircraft binder and keys.

  • Contact the proper flight lead for aircrew no-shows.

  • Ensure maintenance has the aircraft binders for non-airworthy aircraft.

  • Provide support for emergency and overdue aircraft.

  • Document flight cancellations for proper tracking.

  • Make day of changes to include reflowing flights due to weather, maintenance, illness, etc.

  • When aircraft meter discrepancies arise, the dispatcher shall coordinate and resolve the discrepancy with the Lead Dispatcher/Chief of Scheduling or maintenance (after business office hours).

  • Verify that all student grade sheets are completed/entered prior to the end of the shift.

  • Provide reports to program managers including but not limited to the following: daily activity summary with month-to-date cumulative (events, type aircraft, hours, etc.) and the daily OPSUM with month-to-date cumulative (reason codes and notes).

  • Assist in entering the cancellation information into the MFT System.

  • Other dispatch functions.

  • Train new Program Management team members on how to use MFT for check-out/in and the dispatch procedures.

  • Ensure that dispatch policies and procedures are current and revised as necessary.

  • Ensure all dispatch personnel are trained and capable of following the provisions of established safety procedures and notification protocols.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or greater

  • 1+ year of Customer Experience

  • 2+ year of experience using excel

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication

  • History of prioritizing tasks and multitasking with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Highly proficient at using Microsoft Office products

  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Work Environment

  • Duties performed in an office environment and manufacturing facility.

  • Must be able to work overtime on and off-shifts as required.

  • The employee is on call 24x7 for the resolution of problems and issues.

  • Work Conditions: Ambient Office Environment

  • Physical Requirement: constant sitting, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds, dexterity to constantly use computer mouse, keyboard and phone

  • Schedule requirements: Varies and may include days, nights and weekends

  • Department hours Saturday-Friday during all flight operations

  • Business casual dress code

  • Salary Range: $26.98/hour along with a Health and Welfare benefit
