The Position
2026 Summer Research Assistant: Summer Internship Department Summary Genentech's Drug Metabolism & Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) department is dedicated to enabling the discovery, development and commercialization of safe and effective medicines by elucidating the absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion (ADME) and pharmacokinetic (PK) properties of small molecule drug candidates from very early-stage research to NDA. We effectively collaborate in the development of safe and efficacious life-changing therapeutics for patients with a sense of urgency. The DMPK group works in close partnership with disciplines such as medicinal chemistry, computational chemistry, informatics, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacology and regulatory to discovery and optimize lead compounds, select clinical candidates, conduct preclinical development studies, support clinical evaluation and contribute to IND and NDA filings. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site. The Opportunity

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location ofCalifornia is $46 hour.Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
