The Demand Planning Managerplays a critical role in ensuring the alignment of customer requirements, production capabilities, and supply chain readiness across defense programs. This role integrates long-range planning with tactical execution to support mission-critical deliverables, compliance with government contracts, and program milestones.

As ourMaster Planner & Demand Manager,you willtranslate complex program requirements into executable schedules, align demand with supply, and ensure materials, capacity, and teams are ready to deliver on-time, every time. Your work directly supports program milestones, warfighter readiness, and customer trust.

As aDemand Planning Manager, you will:

Demand Management

  • Develop andmaintaindemand forecasts for defense programs, incorporating contract requirements, customer forecasts, and program schedules.
  • Collaborate with Program Management, Business Development, and Finance to align demand plans with strategicobjectivesand funding profiles.
  • Lead demand planning activities within the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) framework.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and drive corrective actions to improve performance.

Master Planning

  • Create and manage themasterschedule to support program deliverables, contract timelines, and inventory targets.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Engineering to ensure material and capacity availability.
  • Analyze constraints and risks across the supply chain and develop mitigation plans.
  • Maintain planning parameters and BOM accuracy in ERP systems.

Plan the Mission

  • Build,validate, and continuously improvedemand forecastsaligned to customer orders, funding profiles, and program schedules.
  • Lead monthlyS&OPreviews to align Sales, Program Management, Operations, and Finance.

Schedule for Certainty

  • Create and manage themasterscheduleto meet contract deliverables and inventory targets.
  • Translate forecasts intoMRP actions; synchronize materials, capacity, and engineering changes.

Execute with Discipline

  • Identifysupply-demand gaps and drivemitigationexpedite, alt-sourcing, lot sizing, and capacity plans.
  • Supportproduction, development cycle,andend of lifetransitions with structured planning and clear cutovers.

Partner Across Programs

  • Serve as the connective fabric betweenProduct Line Managers,Program Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering.
  • Participate inprogram teams; supportEVMwith credible schedule/material status and risks.

Operate Compliantly

  • Ensure planning and data integritycomply withFAR/DFARS,ITAR/EAR, and internal quality standards.
  • Maintain planning parameters, routings, and BOM accuracy in ERP.

ToolsYou willUse.

  • ERP/MRP:MBS/SAP(or equivalent)
  • Forecasting/Analytics: Kinaxis, Power BI/Excel
  • Program Practices: S&OP, EVM support, IPT collaboration.

To be considered forthe Demand Planning Manager role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in planning and demand management.
  • Strong understanding of government contracting, program lifecycle management, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiencyin ERP and planning tools; experience with MRP, MPS, and forecasting systems.
  • Ability to access U.S. export-controlled information

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $95,000.00-$120,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
