Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Technical Project Manager IV. The Technical Project Manager IV leads large, complex projects from planning through delivery, ensuring results are achieved on time, within scope, budget, and quality standards. This role manages risk, dependencies, and resources across multiple teams while driving backlog planning, estimation, and scheduling discipline. The TPM IV mentors junior project managers, strengthens delivery practices, and resolves escalated issues. Operating with executive and client-facing visibility, the TPM IV represents delivery in senior forums and technical discussions, credibly explaining system architectures, data dependencies, and product impacts to build confidence and ensure predictable, high-quality outcomes.

Areas of Expertise & Special Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: 8+ years of technical project or program management, including 4+ years leading client-facing software delivery.

Core Skills and Competencies:
  • Proven success managing large, cross-functional software delivery programs.
  • Strong financial management skills, including forecasting, variance tracking, and budget control.
  • Deep knowledge of backlog management, scheduling, risk mitigation, and dependency resolution.
  • Skilled in governance processes such as ARB and SDLC.
  • Proficiency with tools including Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, and other project management platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated success in influencing and aligning stakeholders across business and engineering functions.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior project managers.
  • High sense of ownership, accountability, and urgency in driving project outcomes.
  • Technical fluency in system architecture, integrations, and data dependencies-able to credibly represent delivery in client and executive settings.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Program Delivery: Lead delivery of large, multi-team initiatives ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality goals are consistently met.
  2. Stakeholder Communication: Provide transparent, timely updates on progress, risks, and mitigations to executives and clients.
  3. Technical Representation: Serve as the delivery authority in discussions involving system architecture, data flow, integrations, and product impacts.
  4. Financial Oversight: Forecast and track financial performance, ensuring alignment between planned vs. actual costs, resource allocation, and profitability targets.
  5. Leadership & Mentorship: Coach and develop TPMs, fostering strong delivery discipline and leadership capability within the team.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Drive process enhancements across estimation, scheduling, and delivery to optimize predictability, quality, and risk management.

Financial Impact

The TPM IV provides financial oversight for large-scale projects, managing forecasting, budget adherence, and variance control. They deliver transparent visibility into delivery health, enabling informed decisions at the executive level.

Complexity

This role manages complex, high-impact programs with significant cross-team dependencies and executive visibility. The TPM IV must balance technical, financial, and operational challenges while maintaining credibility with customers and leadership. Success requires a deep understanding of system architecture and delivery processes to influence customer satisfaction, profitability, and organizational trust.
