Job Description: Cydecor is seeking Systems Engineers (Entry to Senior Level) to provide full-lifecycle engineering support to the U.S. Navy's PMW 160 Tactical Networks program. These positions support the development, integration, modernization, and sustainment of enterprise-scale shipboard LAN/WAN systems. Engineers will help PMW 160 evaluate emerging technologies, accelerate speed-to-capability, transition new capabilities to the Fleet, and ensure all systems remain cyber-compliant, maintainable, and aligned with warfighter needs. Responsibilities include: Support PMW 160 Tactical Networks across the full system lifecycle: Systems Engineering & Lifecycle Support
- Provide full systems engineering support from requirements, design, integration, test, deployment, and sustainment.
- Develop, evaluate, and transition innovative technical concepts, engineering approaches, and new capabilities.
- Support long-term technical roadmaps, strategic initiatives, Systems Engineering Plan (SEP) updates, and automation initiatives.
Requirements & Architecture
- Identify, develop, update, and manage system requirements and statutory/regulatory documentation.
- Decompose high-level requirements into functional definitions and verifiable specifications.
- Develop operational, system, and technical architecture artifacts for current and future baselines.
Engineering Documentation & Configuration
- Create and maintain engineering artifacts including:
Functional Specs, RTMs, ICDs, SSDDs, CICDs, SVDDs, SDMs, TDPs, POA&Ms, BOMs, engineering cost estimates, system design documents, and schedules. - Prepare and coordinate Functional Baseline Configuration (FBC) packages for Program of Record (POR) baselines.
- Create, track, and document Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Problem Reports (EPRs).
Analysis, Prototyping & Test
- Conduct trade studies and Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs) for hardware/software solutions.
- Perform technical studies to evaluate system concepts, performance, and Key Performance Parameters (KPPs).
- Support prototype development, integration, and testing using Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
- Assess the impacts of emerging technologies on fielded systems.
Agile & Stakeholder Coordination
- Support Agile development planning, backlog refinement, sprint tracking, and reporting tools.
- Participate in technical exchanges to maintain/update requirements throughout the lifecycle.
- Support Human Systems Integration (HSI) roadmaps and implementation.
Here's what you need: Systems Engineer I (Entry Level)
- 0-3 years of relevant systems engineering or technical experience.
- Ability to support requirements updates, artifact development, and engineering reviews.
- Basic understanding of networking, cybersecurity, or system lifecycle concepts.
Systems Engineer II (Mid Level)
- 3-7 years of experience in systems engineering, integration, or requirements management.
- Ability to independently develop engineering artifacts (ICDs, RTMs, SSDDs).
- Experience supporting Agile environments and configuration processes.
Systems Engineer III (Senior Level)
- 7-12 years of systems engineering experience supporting DoD/Navy programs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead requirements decomposition, architecture development, and major technical documents.
- Experience conducting trade studies, AoAs, integration planning, and risk assessments.
Systems Engineer IV (Senior-Lead Level)
- 12+ years of advanced systems engineering, architecture, or technical leadership experience.
- Ability to lead SE activities across multiple product lines, baselines, or modernization efforts.
- Experience advising government leadership on strategy, capability insertion, modernization, and technical risk.
Desired:
- Experience with Navy tactical networks
- Experience with NIWC PAC/LANT, shipboard integration, or Fleet introduction processes.
- Familiarity with DoD 5000, RMF, SEPs, POA&Ms, and ACAT program documentation
- Agile/Scrum experience; ability to build reporting tools/dashboards.
- Experience with ECPs, engineering baselines, and configuration management.
- Relevant certifications
Security Clearance:
- Active Secret clearance required.
- TS/SCI preferred for senior roles or certain task areas.
Education:
- Level 1-4: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Physics, or related field.
- Master's degree preferred for Level 3-4 positions.
- Equivalent military or technical experience may be considered in lieu of degree for senior positions.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday-Friday.

Compensation and Benefits: The projected compensation range for this position is $85,000 - 215,000. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.
