DESCRIPTION
Experience: The candidate must have at least six years of experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including two years in a supervisory role. The role requires expertise in generating complex, multi-layered maps and conducting intricate geospatial analyses. Familiarity with GIS and GPS concepts, as well as relational database fundamentals, is essential. The candidate should have experience with imagery, including its collection, processing, analysis, and exploitation. Some experience in the development of GIS applications is required. The ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users both orally and in writing is essential.

Responsibilities: The role involves monitoring assigned tasks and providing support and guidance to GIS Analysts in performing complex geospatial analysis. The candidate will be responsible for anticipating problems and providing solutions while scheduling and assigning duties to team members to complete tasks within set timeframes and budget constraints. The position requires interacting with management personnel, preparing, and providing comprehensive written and oral reports.

Education: Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree plus eight years of experience, or a Master's degree plus six years of experience.
