About the role:

Join Alcoa's Operational Risk Management (ORM)team and play a critical role in advancing our global risk management maturity. As a Senior Risk Analyst, you'll lead the modernization of risk analytics and integrate risk insights into decision-making processes that shape the future of our operations worldwide.

This is an opportunity to predict problems before they occur, influence strategic decisions, and tell the "risk story" at a global level. You'll collaborate with diverse stakeholders across Operations, EHS, Sustainability, Finance, Legal, and more-impacting facilities and joint ventures across the globe.

  • Design and oversee risk data modeling, exposure trending, and performance reporting using modern technology and automation.

  • Analyze operational risk trends, identify improvement opportunities, and develop leading/lagging risk performance metrics.

  • Embed risk information into planning, budgeting, and geospatial systems to influence business decision.

  • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to standardize processes and share best practices.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and deploy advanced analytics, including AI and machine learning, to enhance risk management.

What you can bring to the role:

  • 5-10 years in operational risk management within multi-national corporations operating in asset-intensive industries.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Mathematics/Statistics, Data Analytics/Information Systems, or a related analytical field of study.

  • Advanced data analytics and modeling expertise; experience with AI/ML in risk contexts is a plus.

  • Ability to navigate and administer complex risk data systems.

  • Ability to successfully collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Asset Management, EHS, ESG, supply chain, compliance, cyber/ICS, etc.

  • Strong influencing skills, problem-solving, and ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments.

  • English proficiency required; French, Spanish, Norwegian, or Icelandic a plus

  • Ability to travel internationally 1-3 times per year.
