Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Groundskeeper.
In this role, the successful candidate Performs exterior grounds cleaning and minor repair duties at theHospital.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains outside grounds areas and parking lotsgarages. Cleans grounds, roadways, sidewalks and parking facilities using hand and mechanical equipment. Empties trash receptacles. Prunes trees and shrubs as directed.
- Assists Engineering with snow removal. Maintains and repairs snow removal equipment. Performs de-icing daily as needed.
- Responsible for minor automotive repairs. Performs minor automotive repairs on Grounds and Security vehicles.
- Responsible for minor roadway repairs. Performs minor roadway repairs. Paints curbs, traffic ballards and roadway markings as needed.
- Jump starts customer and staff vehicles on request. Assists security during helicopter landings when needed. Assists with driving of Chief Executive Officer s vehicle tofrom gas station and service station.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Inspects and cleans all drains on grounds and hospital rooftops to prevent clogging.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School or GED.
Current and valid New York State driver's license.
Knowledge of grounds/landscaping equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 - 2 years Landscaping operations.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $49,633.75 - $49,633.75 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
