Ferrellgas knows that great service starts with people who have each other's backs. Ferrellgas is hiring a Service Coordinator to be the main contact between our customers and our field crew. This job is about getting the right crew to the right place at the right time, making sure all the service work gets done efficiently. You'll handle day-to-day customer calls, answer common questions, and jump in to solve bigger issues like billing problems. You'll also be the one making sure all the retail work-like getting permits and scheduling tank sets-is lined up correctly and on time. We're looking for someone who's organized, great on the phone, and has 5+ years of experience in customer service to help keep our operation running smoothly. This is a SEASONAL role. Our peak season is typically October through April.

Responsibilities

  • Answering phones, chat, social media, or email in a polite, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Works with customers daily to sustain and improve business relationships.
  • Ask probing questions to identify customer issues or concerns.
  • Ensure accurate account maintenance and updating of account information.
  • Use techniques to reach resolutions for customers that both satisfy their requests and cut down on additional questions
  • Schedule delivery orders and utilize basic negotiation skills for issues pertaining to new and returning customers.
  • Handle general customer issues such as general service order input, executing emergency scripts, closing uncontrollable loss accounts, answering general contract information, and answering basic pricing questions.
  • Can handle basic de-escalation of customer situations by following our customer complaint resolution policy.
  • Send copies of statements and invoices to customers, as well as perform soft collections for customers on credit hold or past due as well as some cash handling and taking payments via the phone.
  • Support the set-up of new customer accounts.
  • Meet or exceed minimum performance standards outlined in company policy.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5 plus years of customer service experience required.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Basic accounting skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Typing and data entry experience.
  • Proven telephone communication skills.
  • General PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) routing/distribution software experience preferred.
  • Ability to get along with others and work within a team environment.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
