Torch Technologies is seeking a Senior Test Engineer/Scenario Architect tojoin a team to assist the F-35 Partner Support Center, 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (350 SWW), at Eglin AFB, Florida. The 350 SWW is the technical focal point for all electronic warfare (EW) support of warfighter systems for the Combat Air Forces (CAF). The mission of the 350 SWW is to develop and test mission data (MD) to defeat enemy radar and infrared guided missile systems, thus enhancing aircrew and aircraft survivability in combat. This mission includes operational EW testing, MD development, MD validation/verification, force development evaluation execution and facilitating foreign materiel exploitation.
As a Senior Test Engineer/Scenario Architect your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
Provide expert advice and assistance planning T&E activities; Determine system performance requirements; Develop test objectives and measures of effectiveness (MOEs); Develop test methods and detailed test procedures, specification of data requirements; Identify instrumentation and test support equipment requirements; Prepare test plans and directives; Create data collection forms and logs; Coordinate alongside test support agencies and ranges, and other related T&E planning tasks. Provide advice and assistance to the PSC test directors by designing test scenarios and profiles; Develop COIs, MOEs, and MOPs; developing instrumentation requirements and plans; Design data collection and management plans using DOE methodology; Provide advice and assistance to the PSC project managers, system engineers, and operations analysts to ensure that data collected to satisfy COIs, MOEs, and MOPs are statistically and operationally significant, and within funding and operational considerations and constraints. Prepare concept of test briefings; organizing and participating in test plan working groups; Draft test plans and coordinate draft test plans. Provide expert engineering advice and assistance for the execution of tests and evaluation activities to include: mission scheduling; developing GO/NO GO criteria; providing aircrew and test support personnel briefings and post-test debriefings; monitoring system operation and recording data; collating/cataloging test MD; asset control from test control facilities, collection and recording of test data, reduction of test data and preparation of written status reports on the progress of test executions for Government approval; perform quick-look analysis to determine mission effectiveness and other tasks associated with the conduct of T&E activities. Provide engineering advice and assistance for the reporting of program and T&E activity data; interpretation of system performance data; application of test results to test objectives and MOE, and other analysis support tasks. Support writing technical reports which shall contain, but are not limited to; purpose and background of the study, approach taken to accomplish the task, results of the study, and conclusions and recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship Education - Masters' degree in a technical/engineering discipline with at least 8 years of experience in an engineering capacity (A BS degree and an additional 2 years of experience may be substituted for MS degree). Note - actual Electronic Warfare experience may be substituted for the technical degree requirement. Candidates must be analytical, methodical and detail-oriented. Candidates must have experience with mission data development and testing for the F-35. They must also have a demonstrated ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations. Applicants must have a working knowledge of computer systems and an understanding of Windows-based personal computers and Microsoft Office software and possess the ability to communicate effectively both orally and written. Active Secret Clearance is required to start work and must be maintained throughout employment tenure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters' degree in a technical/engineering discipline with at least 10 years of experience in an engineering capacity Previous experience in RF integration, EM spectrum management, antenna design, and digital signal processing. Knowledge of EW weapons systems development, test and evaluation, and systems engineering. EW and the electromagnetic (EM) spectrum, computer software, threat warning, radio frequency (RF) jammers, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) jammers, expendables, threat analysis, foreign/US/radar/weapon systems, airborne EW computer software, avionics, systems integration, electronics engineering concepts, principles and practices applicable to a broad range of engineering assignments.
