Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Safety & Environmental Specialist. The Safety and Environmental Specialist works closely with the EHS team to implement and coordinate and further the safety, health, and environmental program of all of Carter Machinery's locations and departments. Seeking candidates with a minimum of two years' occupation safety and health experience; Experience leading others in achieving environmental, health, and safety program excellence on a company level; Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field preferred.
Requirements for the Safety and Environmental Specialist position include:
Physical requirements must be met for the Safety and Environmental Specialist job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 10 pounds in weight. This position may require reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing beside, onto and under a variety of heavy equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
