Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The Technical Program Manager supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of software products and technical project work across a program. The role works closely with the Program Director, project teams, and clients to ensure projects are executed effectively, on schedule, and within budget. This position provides operational and technical oversight of assigned workstreams and helps maintain alignment with program goals, quality expectations, and customer needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates technical program activities, including planning, scheduling, and tracking deliverables.
  • Supports the implementation of one or more software products or technical projects.
  • Helps develop and maintain project plans and documentation that align with program objectives.
  • Monitors progress against scope, schedule, and budget and escalates risks or barriers when appropriate.
  • Supports the completion of project closeout activities.
  • Maintains productive working relationships with clients and contributes to program-related communication.
    Partners with clients and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure delivery expectations are met.
    Prepares and participates in customer presentations and status updates.
  • Helps analyze technical requirements, identify dependencies, and support the integration of program components.
    Collaborates with engineering, product, and operational teams to ensure technical aspects of the program are clearly understood and executed.
    Supports the tracking and reporting of program metrics, including delivery indicators and Earned Value (EV) inputs when required.
  • Provides day-to-day coordination for project staff and supports clear assignment of responsibilities.
    Facilitates communication across cross-functional teams to support cohesive execution.
    Contributes to process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and customer experience.
    Supports hiring, onboarding, and development activities for team members as needed
  • Assists in identifying risks, developing mitigation plans, and monitoring program impacts.
    Helps ensure compliance with quality standards, company processes, and applicable frameworks such as CMMI.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in technical project or program management.
  • Experience leading or coordinating teams in a technical environment.
  • Experience in healthcare, Medicare/Medicaid, or government programs preferred.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycles and technical project methodologies
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Teams, and standard Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical groups. manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Earned Value (EV) reporting is helpful but not required.
  • Understanding of vendor coordination or management activities is preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
