DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will perform a variety of food service, food preparation, and sanitation tasks in the dietary operation on a rotational basis. You can expect to assist with food preparation, food pre-portioning, food assembling, and sanitation. Food preparation involves preparing simple menu items, collecting supplies, and setting up utensils for the tray line for meals. You will also check and assemble patients' meal tags for all three meals, as well as update the meal tags when changes are called in. Sanitation will include washing pots and pans, operating a tray washing machine, disposing of garbage, and cleaning food production areas. Additionally, you will help truck drivers deliver food trays, snacks, and other nourishments to different buildings in our hospital and bring soiled trays back to the kitchen for cleaning. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch, rotating days including every other weekend. Holidays will be worked as assigned.
- Overtime as needed
- This may change based on operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
