Position Title: Application Solutions Engineer - Technical Sales (Entry Level / Early Career)
Wage: Based on Experience Locations: Kansas City (KS), St. Louis (MO), Springfield (MO) and Omaha (NE) Do you love technology, but don't want to be stuck behind a desk all day? We are representing a leading regional high-tech distributor looking for the next generation of Application Solutions Engineers to join their team. This role is a hybrid career path that combines the technical problem-solving skills of an engineer with the relationship-building and dynamic environment of technical sales. If you have an engineering background but crave autonomy, customer interaction, and seeing your technical solutions come to life in the real world, this is the role for you. What You Will Do: As an outside Application Solutions Engineer, you will act as a technical consultant to manufacturers, utilities, and systems integrators. You will help clients automate their world using the latest hardware and software. - Consult with customers to identify their pain points and recommend the right automation solutions (PLCs, HMI, SCADA, Motion Control) - Prepare and deliver technical demonstrations to show how the solutions fit specific application needs - Develop new accounts and maintain existing relationships through networking and vendor coordination - Travel to client sites via a company-provided vehicle to offer hands-on support and consultation - Master new technologies and industrial applications, our client invests heavily in technical training Who We Are Looking For: - We don't expect you to know everything on Day 1.
