Global Assignment Consultant

The Global Assignment Consultant (GAC) provides critical support to SIRVA's corporate clients in managing employees relocating for international assignments. Serving as the primary point of coordination, the GAC ensures the smooth delivery of assignment management services throughout the entire assignment lifecycle. This role requires strong communication skills, global mobility knowledge, and the ability to guide international assignees in alignment with their employer's assignment policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities
60% - Relocation / File Management


  • Oversee the full delivery of assignment management services, including policy counselling, destination services, immigration, household goods shipping, departure services, and expense management.



  • Interpret and apply client international assignment policies to provide tailored guidance to assignees based on individual needs and country-specific requirements.



  • Provide ongoing consultation and support to international assignees throughout the entire duration of their assignment.




20% - Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination


  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless and positive assignee experience.



  • Manage communication with Global Certified Providers and ensure the quality of all vendor-delivered services.




10% - Client Communication & Support


  • Serve as a key contact for client HR partners regarding assignment issues impacting assignees and their families.



  • Support exception management by assessing needs and providing policy-based recommendations.



  • Deliver timely status updates, escalate issues, recommend solutions, and complete client-driven projects as assigned.




10% - Additional Responsibilities


  • Complete other tasks as required to support the Manager, client, and assignees effectively.




Qualifications & Preferred Skills


  • Minimum 2 years of direct relocation experience OR 3 years of related customer service experience.



  • Knowledge of international assignment management processes and global business operations.



  • Ability to identify problems, develop creative solutions, and work independently without close supervision.



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.



  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.



  • Effective presentation skills, strong business etiquette, and professional interpersonal abilities.



  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and relevant job-related systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).



  • Strong preference for international living or working experience.



  • Strong preference for additional language skills.
