Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, has an exceptional Hospitalist Medical Director opportunity for a physician BC in Internal Medicine. You'll manage day to day operations and program implementation for local and ministry level. Mercy Hospital offers a chance to practice high quality medicine and enjoy a great lifestyle and cost of living. Mercy is a large healthcare system with hospitals and clinics in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma which allows interaction with a large, multi-specialty group. This position offers:

  • You'll manage a collegial team of 20 Hospitalists including day rounders, swingshift and nocturnists. These physicians work 7 on/7 off
  • You'll also manage 1 APP. (Currently looking to add 2 more APP's)
  • This position is 75% Hospitalist and 25% Admin
  • You'll work a minimum of 10 hospitalist shifts per month, plus about 60 hours/month admin
  • Fully Integrated EMR with Epic, Dragon Ambient Experience (DAX) is available
  • Closed ICU with 24-hour intensivist coverage
  • All ICU rooms have E-ICU virtual monitoring from our Mercy Virtual Care Center in St. Louis
  • All rooms private
  • Broad Specialty Support
  • Teaching opportunities available
