Job Summary: The On-Site Project Manager provides overall contract oversight and leads daily onsite operations for assigned project(s). Serving as the single point of contact (POC) for the Government, the On-Site Project Manager supervises all project staff, manages schedules, oversees subcontractors, ensures performance meets contractual requirements, and maintains consistent communication with DAWSON leadership and stakeholders. This multi-functional manager also ensures full compliance with all safety, environmental, and energy regulations. The On-Site Project Manager develops and manages the Accident Prevention Plan and Environmental Management System/Installation Energy Plan and serves as the onsite competent person for all safety and environmental matters.
This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance. Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide overall contract oversight, lead onsite operations, supervise project staff, and serve as the single Government POC with full authority to act for DAWSON on all contractual matters.
- Be onsite during Government working hours and reachable 24/7/365 via a company-provided cell phone.
- Manage project and maintenance schedules, coordinate field activities, and ensure timely completion of all urgent and priority tasks while maintaining required response times.
- Oversee all subcontractor activities, ensuring quality, timely performance, and full compliance with contract requirements.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, environmental, and energy-management practices across all project areas.
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the site-specific Accident Prevention Plan and Environmental Management System/Installation Energy Plan.
- Serve as the competent person on site for safety, environmental, and energy matters; provide guidance on hazard mitigation and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor staff performance, safety, and welfare; provide coaching, training, and clear project direction to technicians and support personnel.
- Prepare monthly reports and other contract-required documentation.
- Track and manage expenses, materials, schedules, and deliverables to ensure the project remains on budget and on schedule.
- Source materials and parts required to execute project tasks.
- Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal DAWSON personnel.
- Oversee and participate in the completion and close-out of all work orders, ensuring all required deliverables are met.
- Balance substantial administrative workload, including documentation, reporting, and compliance tracking.
- Maintain onsite presence for all work being performed and exercise stop-work authority as needed to ensure safe execution.
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must have an active TS/SCI Clearance
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in facilities management or project management.
- Minimum of 5 years supervising a workforce responsible for operations, maintenance, repair, or construction activities.
- Experience managing operations, maintenance, or construction projects valued at $1-5 million annually.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to review, edit, and produce required reports and documentation.
- Ability to delegate tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong budget and schedule management skills, including the ability to make rapid modifications when required.
- Ability to sit for extended periods to complete administrative tasks.
- Construction Management Certificate or Professional Project Management Registration preferred.
- Must have an active TS/SCI Clearance
- Must be able to obtain a CAC Card.
Required Safety Credentials:
- EM385-1-1 training (required for SSHO duties)
- OSHA-30 training
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification
