We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Manager, HSE supporting the MTO Safety Team in Fort Worth, TX a typical day will include:

  • Industrial Hygiene Management: Develop and oversee programs to monitor and control workplace exposure to chemical, physical, and biological hazards.

  • Chemical Hygiene Plan: Implement and maintain chemical safety protocols, including storage, handling, and disposal procedures.

  • Radiation & Laser Safety: Ensure compliance with radiation and laser safety standards, including licensing, approvals, and monitoring.

  • Equipment Risk Assessments: Conduct risk assessments for new and existing equipment to identify hazards and implement mitigation measures.

  • Ergonomics: Conduct ergonomic assessments to reduce musculoskeletal risks and improve workplace design.

  • HSE Metrics & Reporting: Track and report key safety and environmental performance indicators to leadership.

  • Legal Compliance: Assess and ensure compliance with applicable HSE laws, regulations, and company standards.

  • Project Support: Provide HSE guidance during project planning and execution phases.

  • Incident Management: Lead investigations of incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

  • Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate initiative in identifying opportunities to enhance safety culture and environmental stewardship.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

  • 5 Years of Relevant Experience

  • Worksite location: Onsite

  • Travel: up to 5%

  • Relocation: No
