This position offers an opportunity to join a leading academic institution committed to advancing pharmaceutical care and public health through innovative research and education. The successful candidate will establish an independent research program focused on harm reduction strategies, overdose prevention, substance use disorders, and health equity initiatives. Drawing from the demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing harm reduction programs within healthcare systems, the position emphasizes translational research that bridges clinical practice with population health outcomes. Ideal Candidate Profile: We seek a PharmD-prepared clinician-scientist with demonstrated expertise in harm reduction research and clinical practice. The candidate should have a strong publication record, experience with grant funding, and a commitment to advancing health equity through innovative pharmaceutical care models. This position represents a unique opportunity to shape the future of harm reduction research within academic pharmacy while contributing to UCSF's leadership in addressing critical public health challenges. The successful candidate will join a collaborative environment that values innovation, community engagement, and evidence-based approaches to improving health outcomes for underserved populations. This position is currently funded at 20% through an existing grant for support and the position is fully contingent upon extramural funds for renewal.
