Salary & Compensation

*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications

  • Experience building and maintaining high-performance computer clusters. (Required)
  • Experience maintaining server room cooling and power distribution equipment. (Required)
  • Experience with Google office tools. (Required)
  • Capable of lifting and moving equipment up to 50 pounds. (Required)
  • Capable of participating in multi-day research field trips. (Required)
  • Ability to operate and drive University vehicles. (Required)

  • Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations

  • Bachelor's Degree in science or engineering and / or equivalent experience / training (Required)
  • Must possess, upon hire, and maintain a valid CA noncommercial Class C License in accordance with the California (CA) Department of Motor Vehicles. (Required)

  • Special Conditions for Employment

  • Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
  • Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment.
  • E-Verify Check: The position is funded by federal contracts/subcontracts requiring UCLA to notify job applicants that an E-Verify check will be conducted and the successful candidate(s) must pass the E-Verify check.
  • Driving Record: The position is subject to the California DMV "Pull Notice System" and continued employment is contingent upon proof of a satisfactory driving record.
  • 10% Travel to support field investigations in California.
