Battery over the air (OTA) Engineer

The Battery OTA Engineer will be responsible for tracking the development, integration, and validation of Battery OTA functions on all EV platforms, working closely with the battery management system (BMS), Telematics, and Security gateway (SGW) requirement, validation, and release engineers as well as connected vehicle team, to ensure successfully meeting the program timelines.

Responsibilities for this role include:



  • Track and compile upstream OTA requirements for their respective program, and decompose and maintain list of signals and DIDs per the requirements
  • Work with diagnostics, application and base SW (ASW and BSW) teams, to track the implementation and progress
  • Write all-data-app (ADA) policies for their program and work with the connected services and ADA teams to push polices to vehicles and collect data
  • Analyze the data as per the needs of the stakeholders and deliver the results respectively
  • Maintain and document the overall program status and the activities and the status of KPIs.
  • Update best practices and test procedures according to lessons learnt
  • Onsite at Chrysler Tech Center
  • Driving may be required
  • Occasional travel to the US for meetings/trainings

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related degree field
  • A minimum of five years of product development experience
  • Understanding of BMS, energy storage system, vehicle electrification, SW and HW design, and vehicle architecture
  • Understanding of diagnostics for an electronic module, and solid troubleshooting skills
  • Good Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Highly Motivated and Self Starter
  • Demonstrated Ability to Work in a Team Environment


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Demonstrated data analytics, python, and databrick experience
  • Experience in connected services
  • project management experience
  • Knowledge and hands on use of INCA, CDA, CAN, CANalyzer, Canoe, and other Electrical root cause tools
