Responsibilities: -



  1. Perform daily foam tests for the Plant's lab.
  2. Must be able to cut detailed test samples, perform data entry, issue certification of compliance to customers. -
  3. Participates in and able to lead corrective action teams.
  4. Must be able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including weekends.
  5. Effectively communicate with plant associates and Managers.
  6. Must be able to create and update JHA's, and SOP's.
  7. Follow all safety and housekeeping guidelines.
  8. Other tasks as assigned by Quality Manager.
  9. Work closely with all management, administrative, and production personnel.
  10. Must be able to identify, document and dispose of nonconforming products.
  11. Have a clear understanding of all processes, including (but not limited to) product deficiencies, customer product returns and their causes.
  12. Understand, follow and assist with training of the Quality Management System, Quality Plans, Work Instructions and System Procedures.
  13. Conform to all Quality and Safety requirements and procedures.
  14. Participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement Process.
  15. Maintain a clean and orderly workplace.
  16. Conduct test procedures including but not limited to. Density, Indention Force Deflection (IFD), Airflow Test, Tear Resistance Test, Resilience (Ball Rebound) Test, Recovery Time, Constant Deflection Compression Set Test.



Qualifications: - Must have High School diploma or GED equivalent; A.S. degree preferred. - ASQ certification as CQ1 or CQT is desirable. - Must have at least 2 years of lab testing experience. - Direct experience within a manufacturing facility under an ISO, AS, IATF management systems with documented training in one or more areas as Manager, Lead, Technician, Inspector and/or Auditor. - Excellent interpersonal skills. - Must have excellent computer skills with all Microsoft applications. SAP experience desirable. - Have working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC17025 current requirements. - Must be detail oriented. - Must be able to work independently and effectively manage time.
