Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

    1. Supervising craft personnel
      1. Directing maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
    2. Planning maintenance activities
      1. Supporting maintenance needs of the foundry, including work assignments, scheduling of overtime, and training.
    3. Analyzing maintenance work orders
      1. Assigning maintenance personnel to complete necessary orders and coordinating maintenance workflows with production to minimize downtime.
    4. Developing maintenance programs
      1. Implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maintain and optimize foundry.
      2. Daily maintenance and repair of vacuum furnaces.
      3. Assist foundry operators with furnace graphite maintenance as required by supervision.
      4. Assist in other plant maintenance work as may be required
      5. Order Parts
        1. Maintain lead times
        2. Keep count of minimum and maximum part count
      6. On Call 24/7
        1. For emergencies
        2. Enforcing and following all safety measures for you and your employees

A Maintenance Foundry Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of the foundry operations, contributing to the overall success of the facility. They are working hand in hand with the vac lab technicians and are to maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. General knowledge of vacuum furnace operation and repair.
  2. General knowledge of cooling tower systems and repairs
  3. Be available for 24/7 emergencies
  4. Available for all foundry shutdowns
  5. Experience in general maintenance of plant equipment.
  6. Background in hydraulics, plumbing, electrical, pipe fitting, welding, and soldering needed.
