Senior Print Producer

MRM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Print Producer to join our dynamic creative team. The successful candidate will have extensive direct mail experience encompassing all facets of format development for print campaigns in agency, client and supplier environments. Ideal candidate will be familiar with basic direct marketing principles and direct mail production.

This individual will understand lettershop processes including imaging, bindery, inserting and mail preparation. They will possess extensive knowledge of multi-color printing techniques, including sheet fed and web offset, digital and in-line formats for catalogs, brochures, continuous forms, self-mailers and envelope manufacturing, complete mailing and fulfillment services.

Must-have qualifications:

  • 7 + years of direct mail print production experience or a related role.
  • Knowledge of postal regulations and mailing best practices.
  • Experience independently managing multiple complex projects.
  • Skilled in project management, planning, analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate relationship building and client interfacing.
  • Familiar with management of Data Processing and Personalization Instructions for Lettershops and management of matrices for multiple lots, counts, dumps, personalization setups and insertion setups.
  • Experienced at press checks on an as-needed basis, communicating all changes to internal contacts and external suppliers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Estimate for printing and lettershop services including vendor procurement, quality control management and creative problem solving.
  • Review data documents and data processing and lettershop instructions.
  • Perform quality control measures including, but not limited to, internal art review prior to output, review of printing proofs, data.
  • Work closely with project management and account teams to make sure program needs are met.
  • Manage production schedules for each job based on mail dates and job specifications.
  • Drive adherence to schedule in cooperation with clients, internal teams, and external suppliers.
  • Press checks on an as needed basis.
  • Work with creative teams within the creative process, particularly regarding component specifications, cost-efficiency, and adherence to postage regulations.
  • Coordinate with the studio to manage organization of art and file releases.
  • Follow all company procedures, maintain production files and distribute package samples.
  • Utilize internal proprietary software for all production related documents and reports.
  • Traffic production jobs through to completion, adhering to timelines and mail dates. Ensures timely issuance of all reports and transmissions to appropriate parties.
  • Review and approve estimates & invoices for processing.
  • Proficient in Smartsheet, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe PDFs on Mac or PC.

The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $160,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
