| Position Summary |
The post doctoral fellow will plan experimental goals with the principle investigator. He will conduct independent research to identify rigorous, efficient experimental approaches to achieve these goals. He will perform these experiments, which will require expertise in mammalian tissue culture, molecular biology, bioinformatics, coding, and data analysis. He will additional train and supervise an MD-PhD student who will work with him on his project. He will analyze data, trouble shoot problems with experimental approach, and work with the principle investigator to prepare his results for publication. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
PhD in Biochemistry or Genetics. |
| Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Must have a comprehensive background in recent advances in molecular and cell biology. Must be able to perform standard mammalian cell culture, including lentivirus preparation and transfections. Must be able to perform sequencing library preparation. Must be able to analyze high throughput sequencing results and run analysis code in python. |
| Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Preferred 4 years experience, with the majority of experience employing practical molecular biology skills. |
