Job Summary
We're looking for a Sr Accountant, to join our General Ledger team located in Philadelphia, PA. The Sr Accountant is responsible for overall accounting support for all areas of the company's books and records, including balance sheet account reconciliations and oversight of the period-end close process for Day & Zimmermann's commercial businesses. Assist management in developing standardized processes to drive departmental efficiencies and compliance with accounting policies. Use the ability to think and act freely in problem solving and decision making while building strong relationships with business unit and corporate management teams. As the Sr Accountant, Here's the work you'll do:
Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations for D&Z's commerical businesses and ensure that reconciling items are resolved timely. Identify ways to streamline and improve upon the reconciliation process. Execute and review period-end close procedures in D&Z's main instance of SAP. Provide technical expertise and direction to business unit management teams during close cycle. Direct interface and main point of contact for business unit management teams assisting to collaborate on projects and resolve business challenges. Provide direct support during the interim and year-end external financial statement audit to fulfill all audit requests timely and act as a liason with external auditors. Assist with development of accounting support staff to achieve desired objectives of overall group. Implement and maintain controls and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls. KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Solid foundation of accounting, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and current financial issues. Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and decision making skills. Proven ability to multi-task in a high volume, deadline driven environment, complete tasks in a timely manner, and follow-up on resolution of outstanding issues. Ability to communicate financial information clearly and concisely and build strong relationships through use of excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge and use of SAP, Microsoft Office applications, and Blackline Systems reconciliation software. Qualifications
Bachelors Degree In Accounting or related field required 5+ years of relevant experience Public Accounting experience, preferred MBA, preferred Essential Functions

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $90,640 - $135,960. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
