Summary

The HRIS & Workforce Analyst is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of HR Information Systems (currently Workday) and their integrations with other internal and third-party solutions. This role is to ensure system efficiency, data integrity, and compliance while support workforce analytic initiatives. Acting as a cross-functional leader, the analyst will manage secure data access, maintain audit documentation, and deliver reliable insights to drive business decisions. The person in this role must have strong attention to detail, expertise in HRIS security and reporting, and a commitment to data governance is essential.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Serves as project lead and liaison between HR, IT, vendors, and stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.
  • Develops scalable solutions to meet business requirements for HR systems and processes.
  • Implements new processes and systems to improve HR operations.
  • Provides integration and development support for applications across the enterprise which integrates into HRIS and existing HR Technology infrastructure.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot integrations from HRIS to other enterprise systems, as well as implementation of updates and patches to include review and testing.
  • Monitors, tests, and serves as primary owner for data loads into the HRIS system (eg. merit, organization changes, assignment changes, etc.)

System Administration

  • Ensures optimal functionality of the HR systems, including installation, customization, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Develops and maintains standard audit processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborates with compliance teams to meet regulatory and internal policy requirements.
  • Leads testing groups prior to launch to ensure business needs are met. Documents process and results.
  • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements. Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users.
  • Analyzes HRIS performance metrics and resolving application issues.
  • Conducts ad hoc and recurring data audits on HR processes as needed.

User Support & Training

  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting for HRIS users.
  • Develops and conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Trains clients on new processes/functionality as well as new system users.
  • Documents processes through supporting HR concerns and compiling data analysis reports.
  • Consults with HR managers and other departments to determine HRIS needs. Collaborates with leadership and HR staff to identify system improvement opportunities to execute standardized solutions. Recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.

Data Analytics

  • Creates and maintains reports and dashboards using appropriate reporting tools.
  • Leads in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Delivers analytics on workforce trends, including: recruiting, retention, performance, and other metrics.

Continuous Improvement

  • Participates in HRIS user group meetings and conferences.
  • Optimizes HRIS processes, integrates new software, and performs diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology. Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Includes examining trends in information systems training, materials and techniques.

Customer Service Responsibilities

Demonstrate excellent customer service and standards of behaviors as well as encourages, coaches, and monitors the same in team members. This individual should consistently promote teamwork and direct communication with co-workers and deal discretely and sensitively with confidential information.

Responsibilities in Quality Improvement

Contribute by identifying problems and seeking solutions. Promote patient/family satisfaction where possible; participates in departmental efforts to monitor and report customer service.

Essential Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of HRIS system experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals.
  • Ability to keep information confidential.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product.

Preferred Job Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desirable.
